HOW TO REACH?

There is three methode you can reach Darjeeling, They are:

  1. By Flight: You can fly directly to Paro International Airport in Bhutan from three major locations - Kolkata, Bagdogra International Airport, and Delhi. The airport is conveniently situated just around 7 kilometers away from the city.
  2. By Train: Unfortunately, there are no direct railway connections to Bhutan. However, visitors can take a train to NJP (New Jalpaiguri) and then make their way to Phuentsholing by road via Jaigaon.
  3. By Road: To reach Bhutan by road, you'll need to pass through three border points. You can either use a car or an auto-rickshaw to reach Phuentsholing, and from there, proceed with your journey after obtaining the necessary permit.

BEST TIME TO VISIT

The most favorable time to visit Bhutan is from March to May, although tourists prefer to visit Bhutan in any month. For more details, please refer to the season break-up chart below.

  1. Spring : Spring is the most ideal season for visiting Bhutan. The weather is pleasant, and the landscapes are vibrant with blooming flowers.
  2. Summer : Summer in Bhutan starts in June and lasts until August. This season is perfect for outdoor activities and sightseeing, with comfortable temperatures.
  3. Moonsoon : During the summer months, Bhutan experiences mild monsoons, mainly in the afternoons. However, the country does not receive heavy rainfall or experience severe monsoons.
  4. Autumn : Autumn is another excellent time to visit Bhutan. The weather is clear, and the landscapes are painted with the colors of changing leaves.
  5. Winter : Winter in Bhutan spans from December to February. January is the coldest month, but as February approaches, the weather begins to warm up with the arrival of spring.
